The 38-year-old comedian is one of 21 famous faces who are taking part in the second star-studded series of the BBC's game of backstabbing, deceit and betrayal, which airs later this year.
Joining him are singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 34; comedian Rob Beckett, 40; Love Island host Maya Jama, 32; comic Romesh Ranganathan, 48; The Last of Us' Bella Ramsey, 22; EastEnders alum Ross Kemp, 62; mathematician Hannah Fry, 42; funnyman James Acaster, 41; singer James Blunt, 52; model Jerry Hall, 70; and 56-year-old Coronation Street icon Julie Hesmondhalgh.
The line-up is rounded out by Good Omens actor Michael Sheen, 57; social media personality King Kenny, 29; comedienne Miranda Hart, 53; Heartstopper's Sebastian Croft, 24; Barbie actress Sharon Rooney, 37; Industry's Myha'la, 30; Saltburn cast member Richard E. Grant, 69; broadcaster Amol Rajan and comic Joanne McNally, both 43.
Despite initially feeling apprehensive towards some of the players, Joe was delighted to have got on well with everyone.
Appearing on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show on Thursday (03.09.26), he told hosts Fleur East, 38, and 41-year-old Will Best: "I got on with everyone, and I thought there were certain people I wouldn’t get on with when I saw the line-up.
"You don’t know the line-up, but I think they published it two days before we went in and I was like, 'Oh God.'
"I talked about actors, and there was loads of them, but there wasn’t a single person in there that I didn’t get on with.
"I asked Joanne McNally, who is one of my favourite people in the world, and she said, 'I’m in as well.' So the comics sort of worked out who was in because we all talk to teach other."
Joe was so thrilled when he got the offer to do the second series of The Celebrity Traitors, he immediately told "everyone" - despite having signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to keep his involvement schtum.
The funnyman said: "We weren’t meant to ask people if they were doing it; you sign the NDA, and they say don’t tell anyone you’re doing it, but if you search the word ‘traitors’ in my WhatsApp, I told everyone!
"I was telling Uber drivers; I was telling everyone."
Joanne also broke a rule on the Claudia Winkleman-fronted show, which sees some stars secretly 'murder' other contestants, while the other players, known as the Faithfuls, try to identify and banish them from Ardross Castle, Scottish Highlands.
Appearing on a July episode of comics Alan Carr - who won The Celebrity Traitors in 2025 - and Lee Peart's Bottom's Up podcast, she revealed: "I remember we were chatting, having a real deep and meaningful. And they had to cut the filming.
"And they came in, and they're like, 'Joanne, you can't vape in the castle.' I was really into this conversation, pulling on this vape because you do feel very relaxed in the castle after a while."
And that made the writer forget cameras were filming her and her co-stars.
Joanne added: "And I always thought that was horses*** when I'd watch Big Brother before.
"I was like, 'As if you could forget the cameras were there.' But you do, actually."
