The Chicken Shop Date creator and host has made no secret of her career ambitions, and she's looking to delve into the world of scripted television with an exciting project.
Deadline has reported that during an interview with The Ankler's Manori Ravindran at Edinburgh TV festival, Amelia revealed she is developing a young adult drama series.
She described the project as "my version of Skins", in a nod to the beloved Channel 4 drama which helped launch the careers of Jack O'Connell, Nicholas Hoult and more.
The 32-year-old star admitted the process has been protracted somewhat, but she promised to "will it into existence".
The BBC is yet to officially greenlight the project, but she will be writing the series.
No further plot details have been confirmed.
As well as Chicken Shop Date, Amelia has become a red carpet fixture, doing interviews at the Oscars, Golden Globe Awards and more.
She's also appeared alongside other famous faces for shows like Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Taskmaster's New Year's Treat, appearing on the latter alongside Self Esteem, Carol Vorderman, Greg James and Sir Mo Farah.
Earlier this year, Amelia confirmed she has been cast in a new romantic comedy.
She is also producing the film alongside Gloria Sanchez Productions - who are the team behind Will and Harper, and Booksmart - for Amazon MGM Studios' Orion Pictures.
As reported by Variety, she will appear as a by-the-book journalist who carefully plans out her life, but that's thrown into chaos when a routine celebrity interview turns into a romance.
The spark makes her question all her believes about love.
Sarah Heyward is attached to write the script, while she is currently writing a separate film for Netflix, having also adapted Emily Henry's Book Lovers.
She is also working on new Netflix series Sweet Valley High, and is a co-executive producer for season three of Nobody Wants This on the streamer.
Sarah also worked on HBO hit Girls throughout its entire run.
Amelia confirmed the reports back in February, and described the project as a "dream".
On Instagram, she added: "A dream come true :) so excited to be developing my very own movie!
