Amelia Dimoldenberg embraces color as part of her 'unique' and 'playful' style
Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg described her playful and unique personal style, sharing how vibrant colors, pre-loved eBay finds, and guidance from her stylist have shaped her fashion choices.
Amelia Dimoldenberg has a "unique" style that she describes as "playful" and "cute".
The Chicken Shop Date host has swapped fast-food joints for front-row seats at major fashion weeks recently, including attending the recent Paris Fashion Week, and while she often attempts to channel neutral French fashion, she finds herself gravitating toward bright hues and experimental shapes.
Speaking to ELLE UK, she said: "I would describe my personal style as a bit playful, cute, and also uniquely my own in a way.
"I'm not afraid of color, and I'm not afraid of wearing different types of silhouettes.
"I'm always someone who's thinking that they could be more Parisian in the way that they dress and like just wear black, and then that just sort of never really happens."
Amanda also told how she evolved her style during the coronavirus lockdown by getting her ears pierced.
She added: "Because I studied fashion journalism at Central St Martin's, I've always been interested in fashion in many different ways.
"And then working with Chloe Griffin, my stylist, she's helped me evolve my style, for over five years now.
"Even things like getting my ears pierced in lockdown: that helped evolve my personal style to the point, because an earring can really elevate or change an outfit."
Amanda has previously told she doesn't wearing black while hosting Chicken Shop Date, and she admitted one of her best-ever eBay buys was a CSI T-shirt, in a nod to the TV show.
Last year, she told Stylist magazine: "I used to get the magazine every week with a DVD. I loved it."
Speaking about her love of wearing T-shirts, she added: "You can dress them up or keep them cosy, layer them easily.
"I think pre-loved fashion is about harnessing people’s creativity.
"You can go on eBay and find something you like or use it to dig into your favorite designer or a particular era of clothing. That’s what makes it so fascinating."
