Harry Styles gets special Blue Peter badge marking historic Wembley residency
Harry Styles just broke a Guinness World Record with his 12-date Wembley Stadium residency, and now Blue Peter has given him a special award.
Harry Styles has been presented with a Gold Blue Peter Badge after his record-breaking residency.
The former One Direction star was overjoyed to be given a prestigious keepsake after his Guinness World Record win for the longest residency by a musician at Wembley Stadium in a single run.
Backstage at the record-breaking 12th gig, Blue Peter host Shini Muthukrishnan presented Harry with the special badge.
He said: "I grew up watching Blue Peter and I never thought I would get one of these… This might be my proudest achievement.”
According to the BBC, the Gold Blue Peter Badge is awarded to people "in recognition and celebration of their extraordinary achievements".
They added that Harry received the honour as a tribute to "his musical career" and the way he has inspired youngsters "to be creative and have the confidence to follow their dreams".
Previous recipients of the gold badge include Ed Sheeran, Sir Paul McCartney and Madonna.
In a message to Blue Peter fans, Harry said: "If you are watching Blue Peter, I wish you luck in all your future endeavours, keep dreaming, and treat people with kindness."
Fans will be able to watch Sini surprise Harry with the Gold Blue Peter Badge and read him letters from viewers during a special episode of the show on Friday (10.07.26) at 5pm on CBBC and iPlayer.
Meanwhile, Guinness World Records adjudicator Will Munford recently said: "Harry Styles' record-breaking 12-date run is a testament to the scale, ambition and cultural impact of his live performances, as well as the incredible connection he has with his fans."
The London Together, Together residency concluded on July 4.
Onstage, he thanked his One Direction bandmates - including the late Liam Payne - for helping make it possible.
He told the crowd: “I wouldn’t be on this stage if it wasn’t for four friends of mine that were a massive part of this journey.
“I wanna thank Niall, Louis, Zayn and my dear friend Liam for these nights and everything that I learned in this time, the friendship, everything… None of this would be possible, I wouldn’t be here without you, thank you so much.
