Josie Gibson has been using a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to aid her recovery from arm lift surgery.

The 41-year-old TV presenter went under the knife in March due to lipoedema, a disorder that causes an abnormal, symmetrical build-up of fat, and Josie has now revealed via social media how she's faring with her recovery.

Standing next to a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, the This Morning star said on Instagram: "So I had surgery two months ago and it’s important to me that I heal really fast. So if you’re having surgery and you need some post-surgery care, I highly recommend this.

"I’m not being paid to do this. This has been so beneficial to me and I rent this and I keep it at the bottom of my bed..."

Josie then introduced the oxygen chamber to her Instagram followers.

She continued: "It’s from Oxidize. It’s a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. And when I’ve got time, which is not a lot, I just pop it on here, press start, put your mask on, and you lie down into it, zip yourself up."

Josie also explained how the chamber works.

The TV star said: "The chamber inflates with pure oxygen at high pressure.

"This then goes into your body and it speeds up wound healing and it reduces inflammation, which has been brilliant for my lymphatic system, which has helped my lipoedema."

Josie previously opened up about lipoedema during an appearance on This Morning.

The TV presenter explained what she'd been told by the healthcare experts she'd spoken to about the condition.

She shared: "All I can tell you is what I’ve been told.

"I’ve been to see a lot of experts … I’ve been to Berlin to see one, I’ve seen three in London. And basically they said it’s when your body holds onto fat differently.

"I said, ‘I train, I don’t feel like I overeat, I’m fit and healthy’. They said, ‘you can train seven days a week – you won’t get rid of lipedema fat like that’."
