Josie Gibson thinks receiving "a bit of hate" on social media is the "greatest thing ever".

The This Morning presenter doesn't care about being trolled online, and insisted those who aren't being bashed on socials might be "doing something wrong".

She told new! magazine: "I love a bit of hate on social media. I think it’s the greatest thing ever.

"I think if you’re not getting hated by somebody, you’re doing something wrong!"

While Josie isn't bothered by online criticism, she is looking forward to reaching the same age as Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes, 84, because she will "care less" about any negative feeling towards her.

She said: "I cannot wait to be like Miriam Margolyes.

"The older you get, you care less and I just can’t wait to get to Miriam’s stage."

Asked whether she would potentially make changes to her body as she gets older, she said: "I’m going to do anything that I want to do.

"Like Cher, if I want to put my t*** on my back, then that is up to me!"

But Josie has distanced herself from fronting London-based brunchtime show This Morning full-time at this stage of her life, because she is busy being a mum to her seven-year-old son, Reggie James, and she loves living in the West Country.

Quizzed on whether she would ever consider a permanent position on the programme, she added: "I only get to be a mum once and you never get that time back.

"I need to be down this neck of the woods. I love the West Country. That’s where I’m from. That’s where I feel myself and that’s where I feel like I can grow."

As well as being a part-time presenter on This Morning, Josie also fronts ITV show Josie's Taste of the West Country, in which she takes viewers on a food and drink tour of the area.

She added: "I’ve always wanted to do a Taste of the West Country as a nod to where I live, because it’s just amazing."

Josie has also been renovating her Somerset home for another ITV series, Josie Gibson's Big Country Build.
