ITV Bullseye's future 'revealed'
Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff fronts ITV's reboot of Bullseye.
Bullseye is reportedly getting a second series and a celebrity spin-off.
Filming for the new season of the Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff-fronted darts game show is believed to start this autumn, with it airing on ITV later in 2026.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "The continued popularity of Bullseye means that, as well as the new outing featuring members of the public playing the game, bosses are also looking at a celebrity version.
"The most recent experiment, a Bullseye for Soccer Aid special, seemed to go down well with viewers, so they’re looking at expanding that - possibly with a full series."
TV personality Mark Wright, 39, singer Olly Murs, 42, Coronation Street alum Kym Marsh, 49, her sister-in-law Claire Marsh, and comics Angela Barnes, 49, and Jon Richardson, 43, took part in the recent Soccer Aid Bullseye special.
In November 2025, Bullseye producer Laura Wood revealed that the next series of the ITV reboot will feature a new line-up of darts professionals.
She told the talkSPORT podcast: "Everyone wanted to be on Bullseye and, especially today, the female players do.
"It’s great to have Fallon Sherrock, and we’ll hopefully have some more females on in the next series."
Bullseye sees pairs, one being an amateur dart player, the "thrower", and the other being the "knower", who answers questions and scores points by throwing darts to win prizes and cash.
It was originally hosted by the late Jim Bowen and was broadcast from 1981 until 1995, before it was revived in 2006 with 74-year-old Dave Spikey.
But the show was rebooted in December 2024 as a Christmas special, before ITV ordered a full season in November 2025.
And Laura is thrilled that the revamped show has managed to retain some of Bullseye's original charm.
She said: "Obviously, it’s gone from a half-hour show to a full hour. (But) I feel this version of Bullseye is very true to the origins of the show."
Also in November 2025, Freddie, 48, admitted that the Bullseye reboot tempted him back to TV after following his horror crash while filming BBC's Top Gear in 2022, which left the star with serious injuries.
The former cricketer is quoted by The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column as saying: “I’ve not done much TV recently, I’d not presented anything and did Bullseye for a few reasons.
"One, I really like darts. And I used to watch Bullseye back in the ’80s. I never thought that I’d get the chance to present Bullseye. I always wanted to be a cricketer; I didn’t want to be Jim Bowen.
"It was fun when we did the Christmas special last year, and it seemed to be really well received.
"If you like darts and want to see people try and win something, have a watch."
