Julian Clary and Nigel Havers lead new Celebrity Gogglebox cast
The new Celebrity Gogglebox cast has been revealed before this week's return.
Julian Clary and Nigel Havers have been cast together on Celebrity Gogglebox.
The hit Channel 4 series will return for its 50th episode to kick off season eight later this week, with a host of famous faces ready to sit back on the sofa and watch the week's biggest shows on TV.
In a statement, Julian quipped: "Doing Celebrity Gogglebox was an absolute treat, a perfectly civilised way to spend an evening.
"I do like to think my commentary brought a certain level of refinement to proceedings, and Nigel managed to stay awake, although there is an unsightly stain on my sofa."
Former Coronation Street star Nigel joked: "It’s a dream come true working with Julian on Gogglebox. I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening... (Julian wrote this)."
Elsewhere on Friday's (05.06.26) episode, viewers will be treated to more fresh faces.
Strictly Come Dancing's George Clarke will be joined by Useless Hotline podcast co-host Max Balegde, while Gladiators stars Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Nitro) and Matt Morsia (Legend) are also confirmed.
Elsewhere, Olivia Attwood will be joined by her mother Jennifer.
George Clarke said: "I loved it, mainly because it gave me a full excuse to take the mick out of Max on national TV.
"He reacts to everything, so you’re never bored. It’s so easy to get into as well, you just sit there, say exactly what you’re thinking, and before you know it, we’ve gone completely off track!"
Meanwhile, Gladiators star Harry described the experience as "pure fun from start to finish".
Other pairs confirmed for the new series include Vernon Kay and Paddy McGuinness, Ashley Banjo and Perri Kiely, Happy Mondays duo Bez and Shaun Ryder, Roman and Martin Kemp, and Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv.
The line-up will also feature Stephen Mangan and his sister Anita, Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks, Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughn, Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe, and Rylan Cark and his mother Linda.
