Anton Du Beke is agonising over turning 60.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge has not thought about his milestone birthday on July 20, because he gets depressed over the thought of ageing.

Bella magazine asked Anton if he is having a big bash to celebrate turning 60, to which he replied: "No, no, no!"

The Latin and Ballroom dancer then quipped: "I'll just put my head under a pillow and stay in bed. I'm not going anywhere near it. I'm going to ignore it. I'm going to be sobbing in bed."

Anton added: "I don't want to be 60, I want to be 35!"

However, fellow Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood, 61, said: "I'm going to arrange a surprise 60th [for Anton].

He added: "I like getting older; you worry less about what other people think.

"For my 60th, I threw a music festival. People all over the world came, and it was fabulous. I went, 'Come on, let's get down with the teenagers, let's wear glitter, let's have a rave.'

"And we did, it was brilliant."

In February 2025, Anton shared his frustration about ageing.

He told The i Paper: "I’d rather it didn’t happen, thanks very much. If we can find a way of reversing the process, I’d be first in the queue."

The performer said his and 49-year-old wife Hannah Summers' twins, Henrietta and George, whom they had in March 2017 after they underwent IVF, as well as his two fox-red Labradors, keep him young.

Anton said: "Get yourself some young children – that’ll keep you young. You won’t be sitting on the sofa if you have two of them. Having children is the best anti-ageing tonic there is.

"That, and a couple of puppies, and then you’ll never sleep."

The author has also had hair transplants in 2017 and in 2024 to treat symptoms of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness).

Anton told Wimpole Clinic: "I personally think it was the best thing I ever did. I feel enormously better. It’s not a vanity thing, although I think I’m going to get more work. It literally makes me feel better about me. I did it for me."
