Johannes Radebe 'set for new role on Strictly Come Dancing'
Johannes Radebe has reportedly been lined up for a role on the new-look Strictly Come Dancing.
Johannes Radebe is reportedly poised to join Emma Willis as part of Strictly Come Dancing's new presenting line-up.
The 39-year-old dancer has been earmarked for a role on the next Strictly series, after impressing during the recent auditions.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone involved in the auditions — including the celebs — are saying the job is going to JoJo."
Johannes, who is also known as JoJo, is seen as an ideal partner for Emma.
The insider also observed that Johannes' absence from the recent dancer line-up hints at his upcoming promotion.
The source explained: "During the chemistry tests he was paired up with every other celeb and did incredibly well.
"They all think he would be the perfect partner for Emma.
"He has been announced as one of the returning professional dancers but that doesn’t mean bosses aren’t going to promote him."
However, the BBC is still considering what role would suit Johannes best, following the exits of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
A second source said: "There’s been talk of having him as a roving reporter.
"He knows the dances better than anyone and is incredibly popular with Strictly fans.
"Whether he’s going to be a host like Emma or take a slightly different presenting role is being ironed out."
Meanwhile, it was recently suggested that Emma has already accepted an offer to join Strictly.
The Big Brother host "absolutely nailed the chemistry tests" and the BBC see her as a perfect candidate for one of the presenting roles.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Emma has been offered the Strictly job and is going to accept. She absolutely nailed the chemistry tests and the BBC adore her...
"She was absolutely thrilled to have been offered the job."
Emma, 50 - who is married to music star Matt Willis - is also thrilled that the BBC is trusting her with hosting one of its flagship TV shows.
The insider said: "Strictly is one of the biggest shows on television and to be trusted with the new era is something Emma feels incredibly proud and humbled by."
