Celebs Go Dating's Coleen Nolan has shed 3.5 stone, which has made the star feel more confident in her skin.
Coleen Nolan's big weight loss has boosted her confidence to strip off for a man in the bedroom.
The entertainer has felt better in her skin since she shed 3.5 stone, and a new frame encouraged the star to sign up for E4's Celebs Go Dating in a bid to find her Mr Right, a year after she split from supermarket logistics manager Michael Jones.
Coleen, 61, told The Sun: "I’ve lost three and a half stone so far. I feel more confident, I definitely feel better. When I put clothes on, I feel like, 'Yeah', where before I’d go, 'That will do, that looks alright.'
"Whereas now I definitely feel more confident."
Asked if her body confidence now means she can strip off for a man worry-free, the Loose Women panellist joked: "Even my kids go ‘enough now about your sex life.'"
Coleen - who has sons Shane Nolan, 37, and Jake Roche, 33, with her ex-husband, EastEnders star Shane Richie, 62, and daughter Ciara Fensome, 25, with her former spouse, guitarist Ray Fensome - said it "shouldn’t matter" if it is for "the right guy".
The Nolans singer is hoping that Celebs Go Dating's experts, Paul Carrick Brunson, 51, Anna Williamson, 44, and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, 37, will pick "self-sufficient, romantic, funny, caring" men with “big, strong arms” that are "late 40s up".
And having been married twice previously - Shane from 1990 until 1999, and Ray from 2007 until 2018 - Coleen has not ruled out walking down the aisle for a third time.
She said: "You don’t know until you meet someone. I’d like to meet someone, and we see each other when we can, and the rest of the time, we get on with our own lives.
"I’m not looking for someone to move in with me. I’ve been married twice, and you don’t need to.
"But you don’t know, you might meet the actual love of your life, so you don’t know, I’m very romantic, and I love love.”
Coleen signed up for Celebs Go Dating after she watched pal, ex-Atomic Kitten member Kerry Katona, 45, have fun on last year's series, in which the TV personality met her 33-year-old boyfriend Paolo Margaglione.
The programme taught Coleen “to be more transparent" with matches if they are not suitable, and to protect herself instead of other people.
But, ultimately, Coleen is pleased that Celebs Go Dating gave her newfound confidence.
She said: "It was a challenge for me at the beginning because, contrary to what people believe and the persona I give out on Loose Women, I’m actually shy. I’m very insecure about myself.
“To walk into that first mixer and you have to mingle and pull them for a chat, I would rather have had a root filling on every tooth at that point.
"But now gradually I walk in, and I’m like ‘do you want to come for a chat?'"
