Launch date 'revealed' for Love Island 2026 summer series
The 2026 summer series of Love Island is reportedly set to start within weeks.
Love Island 2026's summer series reportedly kicks off in a few weeks' time.
The "most gorgeous and entertaining Islanders yet" can get their romance campaign in the Majorca, Spain-based villa underway on June 1, with host Maya Jama, 31, watching over series 13's drama.
It comes two months after Love Island All Stars plunged into chaos in the run-up to the final after five bombshells dropped out because they could not deal with the explosive rows that broke out in the South Africa-based love nest.
A source told The Sun: "After an explosive All Stars where the drama just kept on coming, bosses are keen to keep the ball rolling and head into the summer series full throttle.
"They’re talking to some of the most gorgeous and entertaining Islanders yet because it all comes down to the cast.
"Everything looks set for kick off June 1st, all being well with plans.
"As All Stars proved, you never know what can happen!”
Dublin, Ireland-based Influencer Charleen Murphy is the first singleton to be rumoured for the upcoming summer series.
It comes six years after the star auditioned for Love Island in 2020 before she got with professional footballer Dano Mandroiu, whom she announced her split from in January after being together for over four years.
And Charleen may get tips from her 26-year-old best pal Lucinda Strafford - who fell out with Belle Hassan, 28, Samie Elishi, 26, and Jessy Potts, 27, in almighty bust-ups on Love Island All Stars.
A source recently told The Sun: "Charleen split from her boyfriend earlier this year, and Lucinda told ITV bosses they should get her on the show.
"She’s really gorgeous and fun and has a lot of Irish charm – she’s been friends with Lucinda for years, so of course Lucinda would put a word in for her!”
Charleen could be joined by a handful of international islanders, building on the success of American Toni Laites, 25, who won the 2025 summer series of Love Island and bagged the £50,000 prize, alongside her ex-partner, Brit Cach Mercer.
