The Celebrity Traitors' Alan Carr once fell into The Serpentine
The Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr has recalled the time he still felt the effects of "hallucinogenic tequila" on his morning dog walk through Hyde Park, which resulted in him falling into The Serpentine.
Alan Carr tumbled into The Serpentine after he drank "hallucinogenic tequila".
The 49-year-old comedian still felt drunk on his morning dog walk the next day, and when the star bent over to retrieve his dog's ball from the lake in Hyde Park, London, the booze "rushed to the front of my head" and tipped Alan into the water.
He recalled to 44-year-old actress Sheridan Smith on the latest episode of his Life's a Beach podcast: "I had tequila once, and I had the one, they put in by mistake, the hallucinogenic one.
"And then I couldn't sober up, and I fell in The Serpentine. P*****. My old dog, Bev, bless her, she dropped the ball in The Serpentine, and I went forward to pick it up. And I think all the tequila rushed to the front of my head, and I just fell in.
"And then I was soaking wet. You know, in the films, the dog's meant to jump in and save you, but they were just wagging their tail for, 'What's this p*** head done again?'
"And I fell in, and then I was just soaking wet, and then I had to walk."
Alan joked that he may have given children a fright as he roamed around Hyde Park drenched.
The Celebrity Traitors winner quipped: "You know, when people are pulling their kids away, 'Come away from the strange man,' and all of that. Soaking wet, that's tequila for you."
Elsewhere in the episode, Sheridan revealed she was "too drunk" to board a flight to Florida.
The Cage star recalled: "Yeah. I went to Florida to watch my mate boxing. And they wouldn’t let me on the flight, Alan."
Castle Man Alan responded: “Why? Too drunk? Oh, God.”
Gavin and Stacey alum Sheridan then explained: “I was too drunk. But I don’t drink now, so I can say this now. I can say it now, and I can look back and laugh.
"But at the time, it was a nightmare because everyone else got on the flight. Oh, my God. I was left there!"
