Celebs Go Dating's Coleen Nolan reveals 'horrendous' date
Celebs Go Dating star Coleen Nolan has revealed one "horrendous" previous date she hopes to never relive.
Coleen Nolan once endured a date with glass in her feet.
Glasses smashed after the then-18-year-old star bumped into a waitress, and shattered pieces sank into the entertainer's foot after she accidentally stepped on the shards, but Coleen hid her agony from the "gorgeous guy" to dodge embarrassment.
The Loose Women panellist recalled in the new issue of Bella magazine: "I went on a date when I was about 18, and I was so self-conscious of everything. This guy was gorgeous.
"I went to the ladies during the date, and as I came out, I knocked into the waitress, and she dropped a whole tray of glasses, which I then stood on.
"But I didn't tell him. I sat at the table with glass in my foot, and my white shoe had gone red."
But Coleen was mortified when her date spotted something odd as the pair stood up.
The Nolans member continued: "When we stood up, he looked down and said, 'Did you put one red shoe and one white shoe on?
"That was my worst one, that was horrendous."
Coleen, 61, is set to share more revelations on E4's Celebs Go Dating, as she enlists the show's dating experts, Paul Carrick Brunson, 51, Anna Williamson, 44, and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, 37, to help her find her Mr. Right.
Anna teased in the latest issue of new! magazine: "I call her Queen Coleen because she's just fantastic.
"When you are slightly more mature and come into this process, you are having to be really, really vulnerable and transparent about stuff that you haven't shared.
"We're very tuned into human connection, and I think it's really brave to want to learn more about yourself, which Coleen did.
"She talks very candidly about stuff she's never talked about before, which is really quite traumatic, to do with her childhood and life in the Nolans, and lots of it centering around her romantic relationships, which are not only shocking, but deeply, deeply tragic.
"I don't want to spoil it, but between Dr Tara and myself, I think we've lit a fire under that woman's a***."
Coleen - who was married to EastEnders star Shane Richie, 62, and guitarist Ray Fensome before she split from supermarket logistics manager Michael Jones in 2025 - relished Celebs Go Dating.
She told Bella magazine: "The experience has been one of the best of my life. I've loved every minute of it from the word go - it's the best cast, and I've looked forward to every day of filming."
Joining Coleen on the hunt for romance are Celebrity Big Brother 2024 winner David Potts, 32, rapper Professor Green, 42, ex-England rugby union player James Haskell, 41, and 45-year-old Married at First Sight Australia alum Lucinda Light.
