Emmerdale alum Natalie Ann Jamieson is thankful she is not injured after a lorry hit her car.

The incident left the Amy Wyatt actress without a vehicle and stranded in the middle of Yorkshire until her 30-year-old co-star, Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor), rushed to Natalie's rescue.

Natalie, 38, took to Instagram on Monday (20.04.26) and posted multiple shots of her and Olivia with the caption: "Find yourself a friend who will drive half way across Yorkshire to rescue you when you’ve been hit by a Lorry! RIP little red car.

"Thank you my lovely @oliviabromley_ for being our hero (sic)."

In the post's comments section, Natalie added: "Everyone OK, no injuries thankfully! Cheers for your lovely messages (sic)."

Fans were relieved that the former ITV soap star - who has been in a long-term relationship with Ali Ward for 14 years - was fine, and they lauded Olivia's rescue effort.

One penned: "Hope you're feeling lovely. But friends like Olivia are worth a million! Xx (sic)"

A second supporter typed: "Aww so sorry! Safe recovery champ! And you make such a dynamic duo!"

And a third follower wrote: "So glad you’re OK and hope things can be sorted soon! (sic)"

In February, Natalie's Emmerdale alter ego Amy died from a cardiac arrest, brought on by severe hypothermia after a limo crash saw her plunge into an icy lake.

Natalie did not know her character was going to be caught up in the shock limo smash, which also left Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) dead.

And Natalie originally asked producers to give Amy more challenging storylines, but this did not come to fruition.

But the star - who felt the time was right to leave the soap - is pleased she exited Emmerdale as part of a huge storyline.

In March 2025, Natalie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was amazing getting to do all of that. I couldn't have asked for a better exit for Amy.

"We were really keen to keep it under wraps that it was an exit for Amy because I really just wanted the viewers to experience it in real time, because this incredible story was coming up, and I knew how much effort we had all put into it.

"I had been filming like since November, some of the water stuff. So there was a lot of time and effort put into it, and I knew it was going to be really special, and it was, so keeping that all secret, and for Amy to have that exit like that.

"And we all got it spot on and achieved exactly what we wanted to achieve.

"I was so proud of the cast and crew for all of those episodes.

"I just watched them all, and just along with all of the viewers, just spent the whole time crying, and just all of it was incredible.

"All of the cast were just amazing. It was just incredible television. I was really happy and proud of it."
