Michelle Collins has been thinking about her own mortality.

The EastEnders icon recently attended a funeral, and it renewed her appreciation for life.

Michelle posted multiple black-and-white shots of her and her sister Vicki as youngsters to Instagram on Sunday (19.04.26) with the caption: "Going through old photos when you go to a funeral makes you think about your own mortality and reflect on life.

"Found some of these old photos of me and my big #sister. I was Obviously even then overthinking / hypothesising everything like I still do!

"We didn’t have much money but we certainly had a #fun #crazy #childhood full of love from our mother. #livelifelovelife. (sic)"

The Cindy Beale actress' fans could relate, as one penned in the post's comments section: "Did this recently after losing another friend to breast cancer - she was only 63. Makes you appreciate life more. (sic)"

A second supporter typed: "@michelledcollins I go through lots since losing my Mum to skin cancer last summer. It really makes you wonder what life is when your loved ones are so cruelly taken. (sic)"

And a third follower wrote: "Life is a lovely thing and I love memories."

Over Easter weekend, Michelle, 63, was rushed to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, after she injured her right leg whilst trying to stop her dog Peggy from escaping her pals' house, and now the star has been left hobbling on crutches.

She shared shots of herself in hospital, as well as her right leg in a brace, on Instagram on Monday (06.04.26) with the caption: "#thanks #thequeenelizabethhospital @nhsnwccg @kingslynntown #norfolk .

"Fell over trying to stop Peggy bolting out the door while staying with friends in Norfolk bashed my knee , cuts and bruises. (sic)"

Michelle, who was in Norfolk to scatter her beloved dog Humphrey's ashes on a beach he adored, then lauded the medical staff for their care.

She continued: "Staff were great , #efficient #kind despite apparently very low on hospital league table I would never have known from the service I got .

"Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this not great for morale as one of the lovely nurses said . Happy Easter xx (sic)."

EastEnders bosses will likely be scrambling to write Michelle's injury into scenes that feature her manipulative and adulterous alter ego, Cindy.

The entertainer added: "Sitting down scenes this week ! @bbceastenders (sic)."
