EastEnders legend Michelle Collins has been left hobbling on crutches following a nasty fall over Easter weekend.
EastEnders icon Michelle Collins has been rushed to hospital after a nasty fall.
The 63-year-old actress - who plays Cindy Beale on the BBC soap - dashed to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, over Easter weekend after she injured her right leg while trying to stop her dog Peggy from escaping her pals' house, and now Michelle has been left hobbling on crutches.
She shared shots of herself in hospital, as well as her right leg in a brace, on Instagram on Monday (06.04.26) with the caption: "#thanks #thequeenelizabethhospital @nhsnwccg @kingslynntown #norfolk .
"Fell over trying to stop Peggy bolting out the door while staying with friends in Norfolk bashed my knee , cuts and bruises. (sic)"
Michelle then lauded the medical staff for their care.
She continued: "Staff were great , #efficient #kind despite apparently very low on hospital league table I would never have known from the service I got .
"Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this not great for morale as one of the lovely nurses said . Happy Easter xx Sitting down scenes this week ! @bbceastenders (sic)."
Her EastEnders co-stars - current and past - rushed to the post's comments section to wish the soap star a speedy recovery.
Harriet Thorpe - who plays Elaine Peacock - penned: "OMG darling so sorry, sending all love (sic)."
Balvinder Sopal - who portrays Suki Panesar - typed: "Oh love!"
And Clare Grogan - who starred as private detective Ros Thorne, who helped Ian Beale trace sons Steven and Peter, who had been taken by their mum, Cindy, from November 1997 until April 1998 - wrote: "Oh no…take care Michelle and I hope the healing process is as quick as it can be (sic)."
Michelle was in Norfolk to scatter her beloved dog Humphrey's ashes on a beach he adored.
In a separate Instagram post, the star - who announced his death on March 20 - shared an adorable shot of the pair relaxing on the sand.
Michelle captioned it: "So we scattered Humphrey’s ashes on the beach in Norfolk #oldhunstanton he used to love it here so we've come back with Peggy to stay with friends been coming here for years. #missyou .
"@alldogsmatter #rescuedogs #before #now first pic prob taken 14 years ago (sic)."
