I can live like a normal person in Los Angeles, says Chloe Sims
Chloe Sims has discussed the pros and cons of living in Los Angeles.
Chloe Sims enjoys the anonymity she has in Los Angeles - but she hopes it doesn't last forever.
The 44-year-old reality star relocated to the US in 2022 to film House of Sims, her TV show, and Chloe admits that there are pros and cons to her life in the US.
During an appearance on the Boyfriend Material podcast, Chloe shared: "I couldn’t work out whether I liked it or hated it. Because in one point of view, I could pretty much be a normal person again but then it has its downfalls."
Chloe acknowledged that she's much more well-known in London than she is in Los Angeles.
She said: "I used to go to the toilet in London and girls would be like, 'Omg I love your hair' and I’d be like, 'Thanks yours is nice too.' Well I didn’t realise that was all because of TOWIE.
"And then I moved to LA and all the girls were being really mean to me. I just noticed that no one knows me here I’m just a regular person."
Despite this, Chloe doesn't have any intention to return to the UK yet.
The reality star explained that she's keen to find fame and success Stateside.
She said: "Life in LA is amazing. I’m not who I am in the UK. I’ve had time off from being famous, but I’m hoping that everyone in the city is going to know my name eventually."
Chloe also acknowledged that she's had to humble herself since moving to the US.
The TV star - who first found fame on The Only Way Is Essex in the early 2010s - explained: "We landed in America completely blind. We had a house for a month, we didn’t know our way around!
"Even getting a reservation at a restaurant isn’t easy when you’re not famous here. It’s been a bit of humble pie for me."
