Jack Fincham plots 'comeback' amid addiction struggles
Jack Fincham has revealed how he's planning to rebuild his life.
Jack Fincham is on the "comeback" trail.
The former Love Island star is currently homeless following a stint in rehab for drink and drug problems, but Jack has revealed via social media that he's trying to turn his life around.
He wrote on Instagram: "Recovery ain’t easy, I’m not gonna pretend it is, some days I’m on it, some days I’m just trying to get through.
"You lose people you love along the way, but maybe that’s part of becoming who you are meant to be but things are looking up good things are coming my way and for once in my life I feel like I deserve it, it’s okay to be me.
"As long as you can smile, everything will be okay as long as you are breathing, everything will be okay one day at a time. Come back pending. (sic)"
Earlier this month, Jack claimed he "wouldn’t be here anymore" if it wasn't for his dog Elvis.
The TV star - who won Love Island in 2018 - revealed that he was staying in a hotel with his dog while trying to rebuild his life.
Jack told his fans: "In case anyone is wondering where I am, I’m staying a hotel with the dog. I’m just gonna reset and work out what to do and where I wanna live.
"Got my beautiful dog Elvis, without him I probably wouldn’t even be here to be honest."
He also spoke about the challenges of life after rehab and his relationship with family members.
Jack went on: "One thing they told me in rehab and it’s true, you’re not gonna walk out of rehab to a red carpet rolled out for you because it’s stuff you should have been doing anyway."
The reality TV star added: "That level of kindness I wasn’t used to for a while, I found it quite alien."
