The Voice UK's Leanne Jarvis has welcomed her second child into the world three weeks early following a "traumatic" birth and battle with an infection.

The 37-year-old singer - who made it to the quarter-finals of the BBC singing competition in 2013 - took to Instagram on Monday (06.04.26) and introduced her followers to Jesse Fernandez-Jarvis, who arrived on March 30.

Leanne posted a series of cute shots of the little one's first days, including bonding time with her, husband Sean, and their daughter Vivi, and captioned it: "I knew he’d be early, but 3 weeks early was not expected!

"I’d like to introduce our little boy Jesse Fernandez-Jarvis. Born 30th March at 8.56am via forceps weighing 5lb 12. (sic)"

The star then opened up about having yet "another traumatic" birth.

Leanne penned: "I’ve had one hell of a ride again with this birth. Another traumatic one, which is unbelievably disappointing.

"It’s been such a tough recovery this last week and I’m still fighting an infection now, but slowly I will get better. No one talks about the recovery and it can be really, really hard. Can’t wait to fully enjoy my baby boy, he is such a little darling xxx (sic)."

The entertainer went on to thank her loved ones for their support while she was ill.

Leanne continued: "Seymour and my mum have been so incredible as birth partners and also as my carers, where I’ve been so poorly. My sister has been amazing too helping out so much. It really does take a village.

"To see the care and love my family have shown me really makes me so grateful. (sic)"

She ended her caption by hinting about having no more children.

Leanne concluded: "I think I’m still in shock. It’s all been a lot, but he’s here!

"My family is now complete xxxx (sic)."

Fans rushed to the post's comments section to congratulate the couple and to wish Leanne a speedy recovery.

One supporter typed: "Oh Leanne, he’s perfect! Sending lots of love and healing so you can be 100 per cent to enjoy your new addition xx (sic)."

A second follower wrote: "Huge congratulations, he's a little cutie. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and I bet Vivi is the best big sister."

And a third person reacted: "Congratulations Leanne, he’s beautiful! Hope you recover well xx (sic)"

Leanne shot to fame on The Voice UK in 2013 and was mentored by 51-year-old singer-songwriter will.i.am - real name William Adams - all the way to the quarter-final.

She lost out on winning the BBC One competition to Andrea Begley, 39, who was coached by 45-year-old The Script member Danny O'Donoghue.
