Anthea Turner and her fiance have delayed their wedding yet again - now because of home renovations.

The TV presenter, 65, and businessman Mark Armstrong, 59, previously postponed their nuptials due to the death of their moms and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, after they got engaged in Rome, Italy, in September 2019 following a two-month romance.

Anthea told the new issue of Woman's Own magazine: "We need to sort it out, and we absolutely will, but we've got a lounge renovation that's just about starting.

"We're not together because we want to breed or because it's the only way we can buy a house. We're together because he is my go-to, he's my best friend, he's my everything.

"I can't think of anybody I would prefer to be snuggling up to at night. I am truly blessed that we found each other."

The couple "feel married" because they have been together for almost seven years.

Anthea added: "Although it would be nice to get married someday, it's not our priority - but it will happen someday!"

The former Blue Peter presenter and Mark planned to get hitched in Rome, Italy, in 2020, but she recently confirmed their special day will take place "in the UK".

Speaking to Bella magazine in May, Anthea shared: "We haven't sorted out the wedding - we have to get our act together.

"I don't want the faff of organising anything abroad, so it will be in the UK.

"God knows how many bridesmaids I'm going to have!"

Despite their big day having faced multiple setbacks, the GMTV alum and Mark remain "very connected", and Anthea cherishes their relationship.

In June 2025, she added to Woman's Weekly magazine: "I am never lonely with Mark, even if he's not in. We are very connected.

"I cherish our relationship and my life, probably because I realise I've got more air miles behind me than I have in front. I feel very grateful."

Anthea - who has made Mark "healthier" since they met - was first married to former BBC Radio 1 DJ Peter Powell, 75, and they were married from 1990 until 1998.

The former Top of the Pops presenter was then married to TV personality Grant Bovey, 65, from 2000 until 2015.

Anthea became a stepmother to Grant's three daughters - Lily, 33, Amelia, 32, and Claudia, 29 - when the pair got married in 2000, and despite her separation from their dad, she is still actively involved in their lives, and they share a special bond.

Anthea and Grant initially split in 2012 due to his infidelity, and after reconciling, they split for good in 2013 and were legally separated in 2015.
