This Morning's Alison Hammond living in home without heating
This Morning star Alison Hammond has revealed that she and her son Aiden have been freezing for days after her home's boiler broke.
Alison Hammond has been forced to live without heating for three days after her boiler broke.
It has left the 51-year-old TV presenter and her 20-year-old son, Aiden, shivering under blankets and wrapped up in thermals as they wait for the mechanic to fix the issue on Friday (13.03.26).
During an Instagram Live with her This Morning co-star, skincare expert Caroline Hirons, 55, on Tuesday (10.03.26), Alison revealed: "My house is absolutely freezing. My heating's broken. Nobody knows the real life that I'm leading. I'm literally freezing. I've got like literally thermals on.
“And I’m putting your cream on, which is also freezing, because my house is freezing.”
Alison added: "He's coming on Friday. I've got two days. It’s alright, we've got loads of blankets and everything."
Alison escaped to a hotel on Wednesday (11.03.26) - whilst leaving Aiden at home.
She said: "I'm in a hotel tomorrow, I'm so happy. My poor son's freezing, while I'll be in a lovely hotel!"
Her home revelation came the same day ITV confirmed that Alison will be back presenting another series of For the Love of Dogs, which will air on ITV1 and ITVX in the coming months.
The award-winning show - which Alison has fronted since 2024, following the death of its original host Paul O'Grady in March 2023 aged 67 - is set at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and highlights the care and rehabilitation of rescued pooches to help find them new homes.
In a statement, Alison said: "I’m absolutely over the moon to be heading back to Battersea. My heart was truly stolen by the brave pups I met last time, and I’ve been itching to get back, roll up my sleeves, and help these gorgeous animals find the love they deserve.
"There’s a special kind of magic in seeing a dog’s tail wag for the first time after a tough start, and I can't wait to share that with everyone at home."
Kate Teckman, head of development and commissioning editor, factual entertainment, ITV, added: "We’re delighted that Alison is back at Battersea to bring viewers the moving and entertaining stories of the dogs getting back on their feet, getting their confidence back and getting ready for a new home."
And Peter Laurie, Battersea chief executive, stated: "Battersea is excited to welcome another series of For the Love of Dogs to TV screens this Spring, where Alison will once again be sharing the heartfelt stories of some of the dogs that have come into our care recently.
"Guaranteed not to be a dry eye in the house, viewers will follow the journey of dogs of all ages, shape, and size to find a home to call their own."
