Prince Edward chatted The Traitors with Harry Clark at Buckingham Palace meeting
Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, took the opportunity to discuss The Traitors with 2024 winner Harry Clark at a recent meeting at Buckingham Palace.
Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and Harry Clark discussed The Traitors at a recent meeting at Buckingham Palace.
The 61-year-old royal wondered how the former Army engineer's life had changed since Harry, 25, secured the £95,150 jackpot after he successfully deceived Faithful Mollie Pearce, 24, in the BBC game show's final in January 2024.
And it prompted the TV star - who met Prince Edward at an event ahead of Harry running the London Marathon on April 26 to raise money for youth charity, the Duke of Edinburgh Award - to crack a joke.
Appearing on a recent episode of the Runner's World podcast, Harry told hosts Rick Pearson and Ben Hobson: "I don't know why I said it. I was like, 'Well, I shop in M+S now.'
"Everyone else around me started laughing. He did as well. I was like, 'I don't know if he would have gotten that joke, or his laughter made me feel better, but at least everyone else did.
"I was like, 'Yeah, I shop in M+S now. So I can afford the Percy [Pigs sweets].'"
An average of 5.5 million people watched Harry win £95,150 on the 2024 series of The Traitors, after he successfully deceived his friend Mollie into thinking he was a faithful and not a traitor.
And Harry used some of his fortune to clear his debts and his parents' loans.
In August 2025, he told Heat magazine: "I promise you when I say this, I'm not lying - I didn't spend any of it and I still haven't
"I literally got the money transferred to me when I was in the back of a taxi on the way to This Morning.
"I paid off some personal debts and loans for my mum and dad, and then the rest has been put in an investment account."
Despite not winning The Traitors, Mollie is thankful for the opportunities the programme has brought her, including appearing on the 2024 series of ITV's Dancing on Ice.
She said: "Life has completely changed.
"I will forever be grateful for The Traitors and for the opportunities, but also for giving me a platform.
"It's been a massive thing to be able to spread a lot more awareness about inflammatory bowel disease, and Crohn's and colitis.
"But obviously the big one was Dancing on Ice.
"That was absolutely incredible."
