Lisa Riley and her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmate Angry Ginge are "inseparable".

The Emmerdale star and social media personality became close friends in the jungle on the ITV reality show last year and she says it is "inevitable" that they will work together on another project in the future.

Lisa told Closer magazine: "We have become inseparable. I became his auntie in the jungle, and he was my naughty nephew! Your jaw would be on the floor if you saw the offers I've been made daily since leaving the jungle. It is inevitable Angry Ginge and I will work together again...

"I can't say anything yet. I love my career. I am not leaving Emmerdale, but I am sure we can make things work. Ginge doesn't have one fake pore in his body. We don't take anything seriously and we just laugh a lot together."

Lisa finished fifth on I'm A Celebrity and revealed that her experience in the Australian jungle contrasted hugely with her time competing on BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing in 2012.

The 49-year-old actress said: "On Strictly you create bonds, on I'm A Celebrity! you see everything. I loved it even though it was a lot harder than I imagined.

"Everyone in our camp was lovely and I feel proud of everything I achieved. There was no one who I call trampoline people – as in they just want a trampoline for fame!

"We were very lucky we were all put together. The whole experience was brilliant."

Lisa will return to Emmerdale in the role of Mandy Dingle this week after a brief break from the ITV soap to take part in I'm A Celebrity – and revealed that she was touched by the reception she got on her return to set.

She said: "The love I felt in the Emmerdale building on my first day back was overwhelming.

"Everyone had lanyards on with 'Team Lisa' around the necks and the love they showed me was wonderful. I could just be myself in the jungle and they were pleased the Lisa they work with 24/7 shone through."
