Britain’s Got Talent set for anniversary celebration
Simon Cowell has shared plans for the Britain’s Got Talent anniversary.
Britain’s Got Talent is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special all-stars series.
Simon Cowell is determined to celebrate the milestone 20th season of the TV talent show next year, and the music mogul has revealed that he plans to bring back the likes of Susan Boyle.
Simon, 66, told the Daily Mail: "We are doing a champions show next year as well ... the best of the best, which is brilliant."
The TV star loves the idea of the best contestants competing against each other.
He said: "You get the best contestants from all over the world and you re-compete in a big competition so, I like those kind of things."
Asked if Susan could make a return to Britain's Got Talent, Simon replied: "She has to!"
Simon has enjoyed huge success with various TV shows over the years, including Britain's Got Talent, The X Factor and American Idol.
And the music mogul previously claimed that Kelly Clarkson was the perfect person to win the first season of American Idol.
During an appearance on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, Simon shared: "Oh, it was like a dream.
"I do remember actually saying to someone, hypothetically, 'I’m certain there’s someone out there and he or she’s probably working in a bar, has tried to get a deal, can’t get into the right people or the label, but is brilliant.'"
Simon was always convinced that he could find the perfect pop star on the TV show. However, he admitted that the search was more difficult than he initially imagined.
He said: "Some of the early people we saw in the first couple of cities — everyone was terrible. So I thought this show could be a disaster.
"You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect winner. And we’re still friends today. She’s a amazing person, incredible personality. And just this killer voice."
