Ruby Wax "lost a stone" on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
The 72-year-old star went into the Australian jungle as a contestant on the ITV reality series last year and confessed that the hunger was the most challenging aspect of her time in camp.
Quizzed on the worst part of I'm A Celebrity, Ruby told Heat magazine: "Not eating and getting weaker and weaker.
"By week two, I was sat on a rock, not knowing where I was because I was so hungry. I lost a stone in three weeks."
Despite her limited diet in the jungle, Ruby considers taking part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! to be the "smartest move" she has ever made.
The comic said: "It's the smartest move I ever made. Before I left for the jungle, I thought, 'This is the stupidest thing I've ever done.' But when I came back, I thought, 'I would eat cockroaches to just be with those people.'"
Ruby formed an unlikely friendship with social media personality Angry Ginge in the jungle and explained that she plans to emulate the series winner by increasing her online presence.
The star – who has interviewed public figures including Donald Trump, Pamela Anderson and O.J. Simpson – said of Ginge: "He works until 4am, regularly, which I didn't understand at first.
"I thought, 'This poor guy, he has no friends, and he's playing video games alone in a room', and then I found out he has millions of followers and views, not just likes. And I thought, 'Who's laughing now?'"
Wax continued: "I'm going to use all the things I picked up from him as quickly as I can to build myself a life online.
"It's like he and Aitch invented the TV and I'm still using the horse and cart. I'm definitely going to interview him first on my YouTube channel."
Ruby revealed that she plans to remain in touch with all of her campmates and has formed particularly close bonds with rapper Aitch, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley and Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson.
Asked who she'll stay friends with, she said: "Tom, Lisa and Aitch. And I'm going to go visit Jack Osbourne in Idaho.
"I'll see everybody, but those are the ones who I know I can just drop in on – we know too much about each other now."
