Ruby Wax has exited I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

The 72-year-old TV star has become the fifth celebrity to exit the jungle, following the previous departures of Kelly Brook, Vogue Williams, Eddie Kadi and Alex Scott.

After her departure was announced, Ruby told Ant and Dec: "I can't believe it. It was fantasy land, suddenly there's a light. We were just a cluster of loving people.

"Totally forgot the outside world, we shaved each other, investigated each other's lower regions. I was checking Lisa's bowels this morning, doesn't get any closer.

"When I signed up I thought, 'Let's give this a go' but I wasn't expecting this. This is family and I'm sad I lost them. I wasn't expecting this. I was the queen, how can she be abducted.

"I got away with everything by charm. I was the queen but not voted so, I had to behead someone.

"When I became leader, they were my servants. When you're leader and you're so in the walls of reality, you are the leader.

"I can't believe we've been voted out but OK, so be it."

Ruby also admitted that she developed a particular affinity for Aitch and Ginge.

She said: "I don't know why I was drawn to them but we had so much in common, I knew I would be friends with them."

Kelly Brook exited I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! earlier this week, and she suggested that some of her campmates were more desperate for success than she was.

The former model explained: "It's a dream and so beautiful in there ... It would have been nice to get to the final but there are people in there that want it more than me."

Kelly also admitted that her time in the jungle was an intense experience.

She said: "My first thoughts were how real it was. I didn't expect it to be that real. And, you know, we're very kind of sleeping in close proximity. It's like a sensory overload. But then after a couple of days, it just becomes your home."
