Maya Jama's home has been targeted by burglars.
Thieves are believed to have ransacked the 31-year-old TV presenter's mansion in Cheshire while she was away filming Love Island in South Africa and her boyfriend, footballer Ruben Dias, was in Turkey for Manchester City's game against Galatasaray. The Sun newspaper reports Dias, 28, discovered the break-in after returning to the property late on Wednesday night (28.01.26).
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told the publication: "Shortly after 11.10pm on Wednesday 28 January, police received reports of a burglary at an address in Alderley Edge.
"Officers attended and found entry had been made to the property and a number of items had been stolen. Enquiries are currently ongoing."
The publication reports items taken from the home include jewellery, electronics and clothes.
The couple are believed to have moved into the £4 million, four-bedroomed house in December.
A source told The Sun: "They are devastated. The house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them.
"Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded."
It comes after Maya expressed her pride in owning three properties - in London, Cheshire and the Cotswolds - after growing up in a "council house"in Bath.
In a post on Instagram, Maya was asked if she had moved away from London and she replied: "To answer my DMs right now lol I also bought a house in the Cotswolds last year so I’ll be there sometimes, maybe I need to do a lil catchup on life update vid or something soon."
She added in a video: "Writing it like that just makes you sound like a braggy f*** but I’m very proud of myself. Council house Queen to multiple property owner."
The couple's Cheshire home is in an area which boasts other soccer star residents and former Manchester City star Jack Grealish previously admitted he was "devastated" after his home was raided back in 2023 when members of his family were at home watching his football game on TV.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "I can’t begin to explain how devastated I am over the burglary that took place at my home a few days ago.
"My family mean the world to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety. This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I am just so grateful that nobody was hurt.
"I have had so many amazing experiences and achievements over the last 12 months, but to be honest the best year of my life in football now doesn’t feel like something I can celebrate.
"The people that commit these terrible crimes have no idea of the damage they cause to peoples lives. I hope they are found and brought to justice so no other family has to go through what we have ... "
