The Traitors' Amanda Collier and Jade Scott reveal their extraordinary secret connection
The Traitors' Amanda Collier and Jade Scott have revealed their unbelievable connection.
The Traitors' Amanda Collier is friends with the dad of co-star Jade Scott's boyfriend.
The duo - who played as Faithfuls on the 2026 series of the BBC's ultimate game of backstabbing, deceit and betrayal - revealed their secret connection in a video shared to Instagram on Monday (27.01.26).
In the clip, retired police detective Amanda, 57, revealed: "Back in the '90s, way, way, way before [Jade] was born, I was a uniform police officer, and I used to work at Islington police station.
"And one of my favourite people to go out on patrol was a guy called Jonathan.
"And Jonathan and I used to go out in our car and on the beat, and we’d go and catch criminals in life or death situations, and there’s a bit of a connection."
Amanda - who, in the video, could be seen speaking to phD student Jade, 25, on a FaceTime call - then asked her fellow Faithful to reveal their connection.
Jade shared: "This Jonathan is actually my boyfriend’s dad."
Amanda then let out an excited scream before the pair burst into laughter, and they both said: "What are the chances?"
Jade then explained that she messaged Amanda after The Traitors wrapped filming, to ask her where she worked because Jade was oblivious to Amanda's being an alumnus of the Metropolitan Police.
Amanda recalled their text exchange: "It was like, 'Yeah, I'm a Met Police - the Met police is huge, and then you said North London.
"And I thought, 'OK.' You said, '90s.' I thought, 'OK.' And then we just narrowed it down, and I said, 'No way, what's his name?' You told me his name, and I still didn't believe it, and I said, 'Send me a photo.'
"You sent me a photo, and I said, 'That's Johnny! That's just insane!'"
Amanda then shared her memories of working with Johnny as a young cop.
She continued: "I don't think people realise just how - that's just the biggest coincidence, in the world. And you know what's absolutely lovely about all this is he's my favourite person when I was a young cop.
"And he was so, so good. He had a photographic memory, he was fantastic, and I loved it."
Fans of The Traitors rushed to the post's comments section to express their shock.
One person penned: "This is mind blowing! There were so many extra connections on that family tree! (sic)"
A second user wrote: "This whole time you could have been allies."
And a third supporter typed: "I love these co incidental connections.
"I find it so weird that Amanda went for Jade so early on and stuck to it.
"Maybe the intuition was there but she just interpreted that intuition as ‘must be a traitor’. The show was incredible. (sic)"
