Brian Conley has ruled himself out of ever signing up for The Celebrity Traitors.

The 64-year-old comedian does not think he would be able to cope with the pressure of sniffing out the deceitfuls as a Faithful or keeping up the lie of being a Traitor on the BBC's ultimate game of backstabbing and betrayal.

Brian is quoted by the recent issue of Best magazine as saying: "I love the show, but I don't think I could do it.

"I feel like I'm too sensitive to do something like that, and I'd hate the rejection and everyone thinking I'm a Traitor.

"My wife (Anne-Marie) and I tuned in for every episode when the celebrity version first aired - it was fantastic viewing.

"I've worked with [comedian] Alan Carr in the past, and I know [broadcaster] Jonathan Ross also.

"We worked together on Blankety Blank, so our paths have crossed over the years, but I won't be appearing on the next series, that's for sure."

Meanwhile, Brian and his 24-year-old daughter, Lucy, will be on the box later this month in Channel 4's Celebrity Hunted.

They travelled across the UK for two weeks to avoid being captured by a team of expert hunters - which Brian described as "terrifying".

He said: "I wouldn't say it was work - it was just terrifying. Basically, we were being hunted by professionals, the CID (Criminal Investigation Department), armed forces and the police!

"Plus, we hadn't got any money or a phone, and we had to make our own way, so it was very interesting to say the least.

"Having said that, it was such an amazing experience to have with my daughter, so let's see how it is received."

Brain - who also had a 28-year-old daughter called Amy, with 59 year old Anne-Marie - thinks Lucy will become a star like him.

Asked if Lucy is going to follow a similar career path to Brian, he replied: "Yes, without a doubt.

"She is a singer and an actress, and we just did a pantomime together over Christmas, where she played the role of Goldilocks.

"I've been doing pantomime for almost 40 years, believe it or not."
