Fred Sirieix reveals hair-raising skinny-dipping past that saw him threatened with gun
Fred Sirieix has shared a terrifying moment from his teenage years when he and his pals skinny-dipped at their local swimming pool.
Fred Sirieix and his pals were threatened by an armed janitor after they got caught skinny-dipping at their local swimming pool as teenagers.
The group's midnight fun turned to terror after the worker confronted them before the First Dates maitre d'hotel and his friends fled the facility whilst they bared all in case the worker took a shot.
Fred told the new issue of Woman magazine: "When I was 14, I went with my mates to the local swimming pool at midnight. Everybody was swimming naked.
"An old janitor living in a big bourgeois house behind the pool opened his window. He was shouting and had a gun. I don't think he had any intention of shooting, but we got so scared, we dashed it butt naked.
"All you could see in the moon was our white butts jumping the fence!"
The star - who grew up in Limoges, France, and moved to the UK in 1992, aged 20, for a job at the Michelin-starred La Tante Claire restaurant in Chelsea, London - admitted he was "a bit of a rebel" as a teenager.
Fred, 53, added: "I still am. That's why I came to the UK. In France, we have a three-course meal every day. When I came to the UK, lunch was a lunchbox - an egg mayonnaise sandwich, a Mars bar, orange juice and an orange.
"To me, that lunchbox was freedom because in France, it was so regimented, so disciplined. You eat at the table, not on your laps.
"You listen to French music, and I wanted to listen to the Sex Pistols and The Clash."
Elsewhere in his interview with the magazine, Fred revealed his hope to become a reggae musician.
The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 campmate explained: "I don't have a long-term dream, but one thing I want to do is record a reggae track.
"I'd like to do that with Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx, but it's a long shot because Chronixx is a real musician, and I'm not!"
