Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that she had therapy to help her recover from the "trauma" of her split from Tommy Fury in 2024.
Molly-Mae Hague had therapy to recover from the "trauma" of her split with Tommy Fury.
The 26-year-old former Love Island star split with Tommy, also 26, in 2024 before the pair reconciled last year and says that the break-up was "her biggest trauma".
Speaking in new episodes of her Amazon Prime Video series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, she said: "It was deep. The past does affect me. I'm an avoider and I struggle to face things head-on. My biggest trauma would be my break-up last year."
Molly-Mae - who has daughter Bambi, two, with Tommy - added: "Therapy has helped me clear my head and go into this next chapter with a strong mindset. I feel confident in my decision and how amazing this will be for us as a family."
Molly-Mae and Tommy got back together last year and she explained in the series that moving back in with the fighter – the younger brother of former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury – was "bittersweet" and that she still has "fear" about the future of their relationship.
She said: "I am very proud of me and Tommy for working through things. It's just going to bring us even closer as a family.
"When I move into Tommy's house, I am closing the door and leaving behind such an incredible chapter in my life, it's very bittersweet.
"It's also just the fear of not knowing what's round the corner so, just a few things going on."
Tommy admitted that his separation from Molly-Mae was caused by his difficult relationship with alcohol and confessed that he "would've walked away from (himself) too" after he turned to booze.
Promoting his BBC series Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury last year, he said: "I had enough drink to last me a lifetime in 2024.
"Drinking four or five times a week is something nobody should be doing. When I look at the person I was back then, I don’t even recognise that guy.
"Back then, I didn’t really care about anything. I let the world go by and wasn’t bothered, and that’s just not me. I’ve always kept myself in tip-top condition.
"I’m an athlete, I’m a fighter, I want to strive for the best, I want to be the best, that’s my mindset. And then I just lost it down that stretch."
