Professor Green has been unmasked on The Masked Singer.

The 42-year-old musician became the second star to be revealed on this year's series of the ITV show - after TV presenter Alex Jones was unveiled as Disc Jockey on Saturday night (03.01.26) - as viewers discovered the identity of Tea-Bag.

Following his Sunday night (04.01.26) unmasking, Pro Green found it hilarious that none of the panel - Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan - came close to guessing it was him.

Asked how it feels to go out of the competition early, he said: "Do you know what, I know four of the panel over the last fifteen years.

"I've seen all of them multiple times, and quite regularly at times, and none of them were anywhere near [guessing it was me].

"I was laughing behind the mask. I just thought surely one of them is going to get it. But no-one guessed.

"I got a judge, a rugby player, Sir Trevor McDonald but I think that was because of the clock, they thought The Ten O'clock News."

Quizzed on whether he was surprised to have left the contest, he said: "I can’t believe it, well I can believe it but I can’t believe it.

"I thought people would have enjoyed the Tea-Bag. It was quite scary."

The I Need You Tonight hitmaker admitted he was "petrified" about taking part in the programme.

Asked if he was pleased to be part of this year’s series, he said: "I am. What a nice place to be in.

"To get to a point in my career where I can say, ‘yeah I’ll do that’. Where I don’t take myself too seriously.

"I don’t know if I ever did. I probably would have done this fifteen years ago to be fair. I was petrified. I can’t sing.

"I was trying to sing in RP [received pronunciation], I can’t even talk in RP."

Quizzed on whether he talked to anyone about doing the show, he said: "No. Genuinely nobody. Not even my partner."

The Masked Singer continues next Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
