Claudia Winkleman will host her own chat show in spring 2026.

The Traitors and former Strictly Come Dancing star has signed on for an exciting new project with the BBC which will see her interviewing the biggest names from TV, film and music in front of a studio audience.

She said in a statement: "I can’t quite believe it and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity.

"I'm obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.”

The Claudia Winkleman Show will be produced by So Television, the company behind The Graham Norton Show.

Broadcast details and celebrity guests are set to be announced in due course, while the BBC has confirmed plans for seven 50-minute episodes.

The programme is set to launch on BBC One and iPlayer in spring 2026.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC, commented: “Claudia is a true national treasure - warm, witty and endlessly entertaining.

"She has an extraordinary ability to put people at ease and bring out the very best in them, whether they’re global superstars or members of the audience.

"It’s very exciting that she will be fronting her very own show on the BBC, and we can’t wait for viewers to join Claudia and her sofa full of stars."

And Graham Stuart - Managing Director of So Television and Executive Producer - insisted Claudia will be "equally as brilliant" as her fellow BBC chat show host.

He added: “Graham Norton has made the Friday night talk show slot a dazzling appointment to view.

"How can you possibly follow that? By booking a host equally as brilliant. So we have.”

Claudia - who, along with co-star Tess Daly, recently stepped down from Strictly - is keeping busy with a new series of The Traitors hitting BBC One on New Year's Day (01.01.26).

Trailers have hinted at a new red-cloaked Traitor, but the host refused to be drawn on what it could mean.

She said: “All I will say is there’s something new and what happens in this series is truly extraordinary, with moments that made me gasp.

“The people in charge always have excellent ways of changing the game.

“You think you know how to win. Turns out you don’t. The castle has many secrets.

“It gets twisty. I mean, the people who create the show, you have to keep on changing it. And they tell me ideas and I’m like, ‘You’re joking’.

“The brilliance is you can have your strategy worked out, but once you’re in the castle everything changes.”
