Leanne Quigley was moved to tears by Alan Carr's victory on The Celebrity Traitors.

The 29-year-old star won the third civilian series of the BBC reality show earlier this year and was emotional when the comedian choked up after deceiving his fellow contestants to claim victory on the celebrity version last month.

Leanne told Heat magazine: "I was in tears. I was actually sat on a train sobbing when he broke down. I was just in floods of tears! I think he's so iconic.

"Truly, I didn't believe he was going to get the win, so it was a shock."

Leanne – alongside fellow Faithful Jake Brown – won The Traitors in January and found it odd to be recognised by members of the public after being on the show.

The former soldier said: "It was super-weird. It's just really special how big the show is and how much people love it.

"January is just such a sad month, isn't it? It's after Christmas, everyone's skint... and the number of parents that actually stopped me and said, 'My kids finally came out of their bedroom, and we watched the show together.' That's lovely."

Quigley won £47,000 for her triumph on The Traitors and revealed that she has spent most of the money on her two-year-old twins Harley and Hudson, whom she has with her fiancée Sophie Jones.

She explained: "I haven't spent it all yet, but it's mainly gone on the kids.

"We had a lovely family holiday not long after the show aired. We've still got a wedding to plan and now we've still got IVF to go through, so we've got some exciting things coming up."

Leanne is looking forward to a special Christmas celebration with Sophie and the children this year – particularly following her partner's battle with breast cancer.

She said: "Last Christmas was quite sad for our family, as Sophie had surgery to remove her tumour. So, we're going to have a really big family Christmas this year.

"The kids are at an age where they're understanding Santa and they're getting super-excited when they're seeing all the decorations."
