Coleen Nolan 'signs up for Celebs Go Dating' a year after breakup
Loose Women star Coleen Nolan is reportedly set to appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating.
Coleen Nolan has reportedly signed up for Celebs Go Dating.
The 60-year-old star - who rose to fame as a singer in The Nolans and appears regularly on ITV daytime show Loose Women - split from her boyfriend Michael Jones late last year, and it's said she is set for the E4 reality show.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Coleen was on the top of the casting bosses’ lists but they never thought she’d agree to take part and they can’t believe they’ve actually got her.
“She’s never done a show like this before but she’s always so open and honest on the Loose Women panel, and a little bit saucy, so bosses believe she’s going to be television gold."
Coleen - who was previously married to Shane Ritchie and Ray Fensome - has been single since splitting from Michael after three years together.
The former couple met on dating app Tinder in 2021 but they called time on their relationship and decided to stay friends.
The report claims Celebs Go Dating bosses have "already cast a couple of younger guys" for Coleen.
The insider added: "They know that she’s up for giving it a go and trusts the team to help her find Mr Right."
In March, days before her 60th birthday, Coleen confessed she fears she may never get another chance to experience falling in love.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "[I'm] turning 60 as a single woman and, while that's right for me at this stage, I did have a moment this week of feeling a little sad that I might not get to love again.
"I love being in love and being loved, and I feel I still have a lot to give in that department."
And she was adamant she won't be using dating apps again when looking for love.
She added: "I won’t be doing the dating app thing again – if I do meet someone it’ll be through fate or friends, although I can’t really imagine it, as the only guys I meet in my industry are either too young, married or gay."
