Daisy May Cooper is in talks to appear in series two of The Celebrity Traitors.
The This Country star had been due to feature in the first series of the BBC reality hit earlier this year but pulled out before filming started as she didn't want to be away from home after giving birth to her son Benji and show bosses are hoping to tempt her back so she can provide similar comic relief to season one winner Alan Carr.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Daisy is telly gold. She's hilarious and would be perfect.
"Show bosses are pulling out all the stops to make this happen."
Meanwhile, Daisy revealed earlier this year that she and her brother Charlie Cooper's mockumentary sitcom This Country, in which she played the role of Kerry Mucklowe, is unlikely to ever return to screens because she has lost "so much weight" since the series aired.
The 39-year-old star told the Radio Times magazine earlier this year: "We can't do This Country, because I've lost much weight and I've had my lips done. We'd have to say that Kerry's had a tapeworm and been stung by a bee."
Daisy has previously explained that she decided to lose weight as she was "unhappy" when she was "at her biggest".
The Am I Being Unreasonable? star told the BBC's How To Be In The Spotlight podcast: "I'm so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction.
"I wasn't healthy. I couldn't breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy."
Daisy explained that she had received some cruel barbs since losing weight.
She said: "I've had some messages like, 'Well, now you've lost the weight you're not funny any more.'
"What the f***? Why do women have to be f****** fat to be funny? That makes me so angry.
"I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn't."
