La Voix quits Strictly Come Dancing after nasty injury
RuPaul's Drag Race UK star La Voix has withdrawn from Strictly Come Dancing following a foot injury.
La Voix has withdrawn from this year's Strictly Come Dancing due to injury.
The RuPaul's Drag Race UK star felt a “niggle in my foot” whilst performing the foxtrot on the November 15 live show, and it soon got worse, resulting in her and professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec, 35, pulling out of performing their Samba at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday (22.11.25) night.
Now, the pair will not be returning to the BBC's Latin and Ballroom dance show, which was confirmed at the start of Saturday night's live show.
Host Tess Daly, 56, told viewers: "We can confirm she has very sadly had to withdraw from the competition."
The drag queen - real name Christopher Dennis - shared her heartbreak about having to permanently pull out of Strictly Come Dancing on her Instagram account following the announcement.
In a statement, she said: "I'm absolutely devastated to be withdrawing from Strictly Come Dancing. This isn't the glittering exit I ever imagined, and it breaks my heart to feel like I'm letting people down.
"My spirit wanted to keep dancing, but my foot has other ideas!"
La Voix, 45, went on to thank Strictly Come Dancing's viewers for supporting her and Aljaz each week.
She added: "Thank you for every cheer, every vote, and every sparkle of support - it's meant the world to me."
And the star said she will always be grateful for the experience.
La Voix concluded her statement with: "This isn't the ending I imagined, but I'll cherish this forever."
After confirming that the performer will not be returning to Strictly Come Dancing, Tess also revealed that a celebrity and their professional dance partner will not leave the competition this week.
It means the six remaining couples - including Emmerdale star Lewis Cope, 30, and Katya Jones, 36, who topped this week's leaderboard with a perfect 40 points, and EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, 46, and Julian Caillon, 30, who came last with 33 points - go through to the November 29 live show.
Scores from the judges - Craig Revel Horwood, 60, Motsi Mabuse, 44, Shirley Ballas, 65, and 59 year old Anton Du Beke - as well as viewers' votes will be carried over, and combined with next week's points and votes.
Two couples with the fewest votes will take part in the dreaded dance-off, where they will fight it out for one of them to stay in the competition during the November 30 results show.
La Voix's exit comes after former Love Island star Dani Dyer, 29, quit the competition before the first live show on September 27 after she fractured her ankle in rehearsals.
And Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis, 67, pulled out of Strictly Come Dancing on October 20 because he tore a calf muscle.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday (23.11.25) night at 7.15pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
