Jack Osbourne reveals Kelly and Sharon's reaction to I'm A Celebrity deal
Jack Osbourne has signed up for ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, and he's revealed how his famous family reacted.
Jack Osbourne has the support of sister Kelly and mum Sharon for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The 42-year-old star has been officially confirmed as part of this year's lineup for the ITV reality show, which also includes the likes of Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax and Martin Kemp.
Speaking before heading into camp, he told ITV: "Mum and Kelly, they are absolutely going to be watching. They are supportive."
He'll be heading into the jungle just four months after his dad Ozzy Osbourne died aged 76, and the father-of-four admitted it'll be a tough experience.
He added: "It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them [his wife and children] behind.
"I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad passing. It is going to be difficult, that is for sure.
"It’s not the longest amount of time I’ve been away from them.
"I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home.
"It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud."
The reality TV star confessed it wasn't an easy decision to sign on for the ITV show.
He explained: "I definitely had to think about doing this programme.
"It’s an absolute commitment, but the real reason why it is popular is people sit at home saying, ‘Could I do that?’, so I think a lot of why I’ve said ‘yes’ is the intrigue and how would I survive that?
"I am very nervous though!"
As well as Jack, model Kelly, comedian Ruby and Spandau Ballet musician Martin, the lineup also features rapper Aitch and retired footballer Alex Scott.
Rounding off the list of campmates are YouTuber AngryGinge, former Strictly Come Dancing star Edie Kadi, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, and Emmerdale mainstay Lisa Riley.
I'm A Celebrity starts Sunday at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
