Celebrity Traitors star Alan Carr has filmed a secret pilot for a BBC quiz show.

The 49-year-old TV presenter flew to a "swanky European city" to shoot an episode of a brand-new celebrity-led quiz programme, following his success on the inaugural Celebrity Traitors series.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now.

"Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."

Alan's pilot episode is said to have gone "well".

The source said: "It went well and now it’s just a matter of when, not if, this gets green-lit."

Alan could soon be even busier, because his hit talk show Chatty Man could be returning.

The source added: "There is also talk of bringing back a version of Chatty Man, as Alan has incredible contacts and would get some brilliant guests."

Alan has made the Celebrity Traitors finale, which is to air on Thursday (06.11.25), alongside fellow Traitor Cat Burns and three of the Faithful, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga.

Earlier this week, the comedian joked he had to flee to the US because he is the "most hated man in the UK" after bumping off several national treasures in the game.

Speaking to Heart presenters Olly Murs and Mark Wright at Universal Studios, Orlando, Alan joked: "I’m the most hated man in the UK - I’ve had to come here to Orlando to get away from it all. Everyone hates me.

"I just needed to get away because it’s stressful murdering every day. My Christmas card list is getting smaller and smaller."

Alan came under fire from his pal Paloma Faith after he "murdered" her on Celebrity Traitors, and he is planning to take her out for dinner to make it up to the singer.

Speaking on his own Life’s A Beach podcast, he explained: "She said, 'If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t have killed me.'

"But I said, 'I’m the Traitor! The show’s called The Traitors - it does what it says on the tin.'

"There’ve been a few little TikToky things where she says I’ve let her down because I killed her in plain sight.

"It’s like going on Naked Attraction and being told, what, I have to take my knickers off? You know what you’re signing up for!

"I’m going to take her for dinner. I love her.

"I’m such a big fan of her and she’s the best - but no one wants to be murdered first on a show. I panicked."
