La Voix feared Strictly Come Dancing exit after calamitous cha-cha-cha
Drag queen La Voix feared that her Strictly Come Dancing journey was over following her nightmare cha-cha-cha with partner Aljaz Skorjanec last weekend.
La Voix feared her time was up on Strictly Come Dancing after her disastrous cha-cha-cha.
The RuPaul's Drag Race UK finalist earned a paltry 14 points for her and pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec's performance on last Saturday's (18.10.25) episode of the BBC show and was very relieved to escape the dreaded dance-off after sitting at the foot of the leaderboard.
La Voix – whose real name is Christopher Dennis – told the Metro newspaper: "I thought I was gone. Goodnight, La Voix.
"I thought I would at least be in the bottom four and that they would be making good TV out of my bad TV. Of course, I was thrilled when I wasn't."
The drag queen continued: "Although that may have been my weakest dancing moment it was one of my strongest weeks of knowing how much support I have. That's who I've got to come back strong for – the people who have supported me."
La Voix will look to bounce back on Strictly's Icons Week episode on Saturday (25.10.25) and attempt to channel Cher as she and Aljaz perform a salsa to the music legend's hit Strong Enough.
The 45-year-old star said: "What I like about Cher is her ability to take no nonsense. Goodness me, how many decades has she kept herself current and relevant and not been affected by what other people think?
"She has stayed in her own lane. She's stuck to her own style. That fight to just keep going and going is sensational."
La Voix has amused audiences with her critiques of outgoing host Tess Daly's outfits and she admits that it came about by accident.
She explained: "It wasn't ever the aim but even the producers are now saying, 'Tess is wearing this outfit.' I'm like, 'Why are you telling me this?' They say, 'Because it's everyone's favourite bit.' I'm becoming a style adviser.
"Tess has been so joyous to allow me those moments."
La Voix revealed that she would love Vicky Pattison to win the Glitterball Trophy if she and Aljaz are unable to do so, as both of them have "struggled" through the competition so far.
She said: "I would say my fellow – and I mean this in a nice way – struggler, because we see each other on a weekly basis and go, 'How are we still here?' That's my good friend Vicky Pattison. She is great.
"If it's not me, I'd love Vicky to win."
