Ross King hopes he has 'inspired' people by doing Strictly Come Dancing

Ross King hopes his Strictly Come Dancing appearance has "inspired people" to "dance and have fun".
The 63-year-old Los Angeles Correspondent for ITV's Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, and his 31-year-old professional dance partner Jowita Przystal were the second couple to be eliminated from the BBC Latin and ballroom dance show during Sunday (12.10.25) night's results show after their Thunderbirds-inspired paso doble failed to win over judges - Anton Du Beke, 59, Craig Revel Horwood, 60, Motsi Mabuse, 44, and 65 year old Shirley Ballas.
But despite feeling sad about losing out on a place in next Saturday's (18.10.25) show to EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, 46, and her 30-year-old professional dance partner Julian Caillon, Ross is happy to be the "most improved" contestant in this year's series.
On Monday (13.10.25), Ross told Lorraine Kelly, 65, on her eponymous ITV show: "I feel absolutely great. I mean, team Lorraine, thank you once again. Everyone here has been amazing. The public who voted, the people that I met in the street.
"Also, I think that - we said at the beginning, 'If I can be the most improved,' and Anton gave me most improved two weeks in a row, and the judges said some really nice things.
"And also, the fact that I hope now that I have inspired people - especially men of a certain age who go, 'You know what, I'm just going to sit around, I'm not going to do anything,' and just get out there and dance and have fun.
"That's the whole thing. I mean, I had fun every single week."
Ross looked nervous when he and Jowita danced a Cha Cha to California Gurls by Katy Perry in week one, followed by their waltz to Sunshine on Leith by The Proclaimers in week two.
But once the star got over his nerves, Ross started to enjoy himself a lot more.
He said: "Yeah, it was incredible."
Speaking about how tough rehearsals are, in which the couples learn the choreography for their different routines, Ross added: "We've talked about it before that people don't realise - I mean, it's hard work, but it's not hard work like what people do in real jobs.
"But, you know, it's eight hours a day. You are training a bit like an athlete, and just trying to get through it all, of course.
"And for me, I'm trying to get through the dance. The standard this year I think, has been [high]."
During Strictly Come Dancing's results show on Sunday, 56-year-old host Tess Daly - who co-presents the programme with 53 year old Claudia Winkleman - mentioned that Ross had moved from California to the UK just to do the show.
And now Ross has revealed he will be watching the show from his home in Los Angeles.
The star said: "Yes, absolutely. I'll be watching by the pool in La La Land, I'll be back there!
"But no, again, thank you to everyone there, the crew, absolutely everyone - especially Jowita.
"We just had the most amazing time."
