Michelle Pfeiffer has no plans to retire.

Although the Oscar-nominated actress – whose memorable roles include Scarface, Batman Returns and Hairspray – recently admitted she “never” wants to star in another movie, she insisted that she has no intention of quitting Hollywood.

Michelle told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show: “No … I mean, it’s the most ridiculous thing. They’re always saying I’m retiring. Where does it say I’m retiring?

“All that I said was that I really love working with an ensemble cast.”

Referring to Michelle’s previous comments where she said: “I never want to star in another movie,” Fallon asked: “Did you know you would get in trouble when you said that?”

She replied: “I knew the minute it came out of my mouth. Of course, I want to star in another movie.”

Michelle recently admitted she has found a new appreciation for ensemble television projects.

Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter’s THR x Apple TV’s Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV, Pfeiffer made her feelings clear about taking on future leading film roles.

She said: “I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God.

“I only want to do ensemble pieces. It’s so much more fun, I love it so much.”
