Gavin and Stacey's James Corden and Ruth Jones unveil deleted fishing trip scene
Gavin and Stacey's creators James Corden and Ruth Jones have unveiled a deleted scene about the infamous fishing trip, which was written for the third series of the BBC comedy show.

A Gavin and Stacey scene about the infamous fishing trip was written but it never aired.
The long-running gag of the BBC comedy series involved an incident between Uncle Bryn West (Rob Brydon) and his nephew Jason West (Robert Wilfort) that happened years ago - and caused a huge family rift - but the characters kept it a secret between themselves.
The scene - which features Jason and Bryn discussing the trip - was penned by Gavin and Stacey's writers James Corden, 47, and Ruth Jones, 59, for the third series in 2009, but it never made it to air.
However, after over a decade, it has been unveiled.
James - who starred in Gavin and Stacey as Neil 'Smithy' Smith - is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "We wrote this whole moment that Jason came into Bryn's house.
"Bryn had been clearing out his loft and had found this camcorder tape that said 'The fishing trip'.
"The idea was that they put it in. It's all camcorder footage and then just at the moment that you think it's going to go on, the tape fuzzes out and gets stuck in the video player."
The script - according to the Daily Star newspaper - read: "JASON: Is that what I think it is?
"BRYN: Yes.
"JASON: I thought it had been destroyed.
"BRYN: I know, I know.
"JASON: You promised me you'd burned it.
"BRYN: I know, but I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to do it.
"JASON: Do you ever...?
"BRYN: No, of course not. A couple of times I've watched it.
"JASON: Put it on.
"BRYN: No, Jason, no. We can't.
"JASON: Do it."
Since fans of Gavin and Stacey first learnt about the enigmatic trip, they have been theorising about what happened - with some being so bizarre, it left the cast astonished.
Ruth - who played Vanessa 'Nessa' Jenkins in the BBC comedy show - said: "It's amazing the theories that have come out.
"People say, 'I think I've worked it out.'
"It does make you go, 'People's minds are really strange.'"
James chimed in: "And quite dark! If anybody ever asks me what happened, I say, 'I have no idea, I wasn't there.'"
Gavin and Stacey ended on Christmas Day last year with a 90-minute episode - which raked in over 20 million viewers when it aired.
In one hilarious scene, viewers learnt that widow Gwen West (Melanie Walters) had been dating Nessa's ex Dave Coaches (Steffan Rhodri), which angered Bryn because Dave had information about the fishing trip.
As Gwen defended her and Dave's relationship, she told Bryn that the fishing trip "nearly tore the family apart", with Dave then saying "very dark, and very cold".
But before he finished his sentence, the family was interrupted, and the situation was not addressed for the remainder of the final episode.
But after the final episode was broadcast, the BBC aired the documentary Gavin and Stacey: A Fond Farewell on New Year's Day.
At the end of the special, home video footage showed Bryn and Jason on the fishing trip, as they showed off one of their biggest catches.
Fans were excited about finally getting to find out what happened on the fishing trip, but the home video cut off.
