Spencer Matthews "didn't care" about not being invited to Jamie Laing's Ultra Marathon Challenge.

In March, Jamie, 36, completed his mammoth challenge of running 150 miles over five days and raised over £2 million for Comic Relief.

He was surprised by famous faces, including The Traitors 2025 winner Leanne Quigley, on his route from London to Salford, Greater Manchester.

However, Spencer - who starred in E4's Made in Chelsea with Jamie - was noticeably absent, and the pair's fans scratched their heads as to why he did not attend.

And it added to the claims that the duo were no longer close after Spencer was not invited to his childhood pal's London wedding to Sophie Habboo, 30, in April 2023.

Speaking to Jamie - who invited Spencer to his and Sophie's second wedding in Spain a month later - on the latest episode of the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast, Spencer said: "I'm sure it hasn't escaped you as well, that these ultra events are organised and curated.

"This is a Comic Relief challenge. When you were met by your pals along the way, there's been some communication between the BBC and them, or you and them, or whatever.

"I didn't care at all that I didn't receive the call. I was watching you, I was staying on top of it all.

"And when you finished, I posted what I genuinely felt was like a two-sentence, like I think I said, 'I'm really proud of you and pushing yourself through these limits was really admirable,' or something like that."

However, Spencer added that he would have gone to support Jamie if he had been asked.

Spencer continued: "I would have loved to have seen you along the way.

"My phone didn't ring. I didn't get asked to come to see you."

Jamie chimed in and pointed out: "Yeah, but that's because we weren't friendly at that time ...

"But also it's leaning into a place where it's like, there was no way you could be invited because we weren't even talking.

"And like we weren't even friends, so how would then you have been invited?"

Spencer replied: "I didn't realise that we weren't even friends, to be honest."

Jamie responded: "Potato, potato, that's up for debate."

However, Spencer stressed that he was "very proud" of what Jamie achieved with his Ultra Marathon Challenge.

He added: "I love success generally. Like I love people doing well.

"Jamie doing well is a pleasure to see, even if we're not talking or even if we're not like how we used to be."
