Drea de Matteo has told "old ladies" to "bet on yourself" by starting a page on OnlyFans.
'The Sopranos' star, 52, joined the saucy site after she was left on the verge of bankruptcy when acting work dried up during the COVID-19 pandemic and previously credited her income from the platform with helping her pay off her debts and save her home within minutes of signing up - and she's now urged other women in her age group to follow her lead.
She told FOX Business: "I was surprised that I was able to save my home as quickly as I did. So, my advice to all the young ladies out there, not the young ones - I want the young ones to do other things first. The old ones. All the old ladies out there, you know, bet on yourself, man."
She added of her predicament: "I wasn't going to sit around and wait for my manager or for somebody to try and land me a job that I needed to get in order to take care of what needed to be taken care of. I was losing my home. So, that surprised me - now that I'm not very popular on social media these days."
Drea previously told DailyMail.com: “It saved us. OnlyFans saved my life, 100 per cent. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did save us.
"Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids.
“It saved my home of many years that was very important to us. And beyond all that, it has given me enough money to start up and finance ultra-free.” Mum-of-two Drea – who has a daughter and son with her musician ex-fiancé Waylon Jennings - added of her woes before starting on OnlyFans: “They put me into foreclosure and my house had flooded, so I was trying to sell the house quickly.
“I wanted to try and sell it before they took it. At the same time, I lost my mom, and my other mom, who has dementia, had run out of money for her caregiver. I didn’t know which way was up.”
However, Drea was thrilled to see her money shoot up as she posted more and more content on OnlyFans. She concluded: “I was like, (God), in five minutes, I was able to pay back compass real estate who kept the sale of my house."
