Drea De Matteo earns "way more" from OnlyFans than she did when she was starring on 'The Sopranos'.

The 52-year-old actress is best known for playing Adriana La Cerva in the hit TV show - even earning a Primetime Emmy Award for the role - but she has now admitted she was never a "top tier player" in the cast and definitely earns more from the raunchy videos she posts online.

Speaking to ABC News, Drea added that she earns "way more on OnlyFans" than when she was on 'The Sopranos' but conceded it often "depends on the month".

Drea added: "I’ve only been doing it a couple of months. People can speculate, it’s really not as much as everyone thinks.

"I’m still not rich by any means, considering what rich looks like today, but we’re OK and we’ll survive and I need to figure out other ways to maintain my home.

"I know it is a career for some women, that was a bandaid, OnlyFans was a bandaid for me."

Drea joined the saucy site after she was left on the verge of bankruptcy when acting work dried up during the COVID-19 pandemic and previously credited her income from the platform with helping her pay off her debts and save her home within minutes of signing up.

She recently urged other women in her age group to follow her lead, telling FOX Business: "I was surprised that I was able to save my home as quickly as I did. So, my advice to all the young ladies out there, not the young ones - I want the young ones to do other things first. The old ones. All the old ladies out there, you know, bet on yourself, man."

She added of her predicament: "I wasn't going to sit around and wait for my manager or for somebody to try and land me a job that I needed to get in order to take care of what needed to be taken care of. I was losing my home. So, that surprised me - now that I'm not very popular on social media these days."
