Shah Rukh Khan has vowed never to shave his hair off again after going bald for 'Jawan'.

The Bollywood superstar is seen looking totally different without his luscious locks in the trailer for his new action movie - which is released on September 7 - but he's insisted it's the first and last time he'll ever go bald for a film role.

Speaking at an event to launch the trailer in Dubai this week, he quipped: "Now I have gotten bald for you guys so please go to watch that."

Khan added: "I’m there bald [in the film] so that’s something I am never ever going to be in life. This is the first and last time."

During the event he also spoke about the film's message of female empowerment, explaining: "We need to empower the biggest force in this world, which is women, so we have to empower them. So, this film is all about them but there’s lot of love, happiness, action, drama, emotion, all of it will be there."

He also expressed his hope that Jawan will appeal to a broad audience across the world, saying: "What we entertain you with should not have a language, should not have a religion, should not have a caste, colour, creed distinction. We should all come together to celebrate entertainment with our families, our loved ones and this is the first step in that direction."

Khan stars in the movie alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. It's the actor first big release since the huge success of his action thriller 'Pathaan' which broke a number of box office records following its release back in January. The actor barely did any promotion for the film but that didn't stop it being a runaway success. When fans on X - the platform formerly known as Twitter - asked why he wasn't giving any interviews to promote the movie, Khan gave a pithy reply. He wrote: "I thought lions don't give interviews, so, I also won't do it this time. Just come and watch the film in jungle."
