Macaulay Culkin never expected to be 'a suburban dad who wears Crocs'
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin "swore" to himself he wouldn't embrace Crocs.
Macaulay Culkin has become "a suburban dad who wears Crocs".
The Home Alone star admitted he was never a fan of the footwear brand's foam sandals, but that all changed after becoming a father-of-two with his partner Brenda Song.
He told WWD's FN: "I wasn’t ever really a Crocs guy. But when I started having kids, I found out that they are kind of really convenient and cozy.
"You know, I kind of swore to myself that I was never going to be the suburban dad who wore Crocs, but then I became a suburban dad who wears Crocs. So here we are.”
The 45-year-old star started to change his mind after seeing his eldest child with a pair of pink Crocs.
He joked: "So, of course, I got a pair of pink Crocs. And the next thing you know, you see the paparazzi photos of me dropping my kid off at school in pink Crocs."
Meanwhile, Macaulay previously revealed how his fiancée Brenda - who rose to fame on Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zac and Cody - influenced his skincare habits.
Asked how and why he started getting into skincare, Macaulay told in 2024 PEOPLE: "Whenever Brenda started schmearing stuff on my face."
Despite this, his partner admits that the Hollywood star is still learning skincare secrets and the routine that works best for him.
She joked: "He has no skincare routine."
Brenda, 37, has always taken her skincare routine pretty seriously - unlike Macaulay.
The actress said: "If he washes his face with water at night, I'm lucky. I'm the one that has to smear stuff on his face.
"He's like a boy who's like, ‘I've never had to do anything. I'm never going to do anything.’ I was like, ‘Not the case for me.' "It took me an hour and a half to get ready [for an event], and he came up at the last minute and in five minutes, he was done."
