Harry Styles' sister praises 'spectacular' singer after record-breaking Wembley residency

Harry Styles’ sister Gemma has paid tribute to her brother following his record-breaking 12 night run at Wembley Stadium.
The former One Direction star performed the final night of the London Together, Together residency on July 4, with Gemma taking to the stage alongside her brother to deliver a heartfelt speech and unveil a banner commemorating Harry’s incredible achievement.
Following the emotional evening, Gemma took to Instagram to praise Harry, while also admitting she was more than a little nervous to do her bit in front of the 80,000 fans filling the stadium.
Sharing snaps of herself and Harry on stage, Gemma wrote: “Impossible to express in a short speech what it’s like to watch @harrystyles complete his record breaking 12 night run in such spectacular fashion… not least because my legs were like jelly and I had to keep pausing to breathe.
“But as @mollyjane_x said before I went on - we don’t often get the chance to be brave for the people we love.
“Imagine doing 12 unbelievable shows and then watching your big sister experience a full existential crisis at speaking for one minute.
“Honoured to be asked… and truly just glad I didn’t pass out.”
She concluded the post by writing “Love you H!”
The post was quickly flooded with comments, with TV host Laura Whitmore writing: “This is so lovely Gemma.”
A Styles family friend added: “So proud of you both. Jelly legs aside you absolutely nailed it .. and left me a sobbing mess! love you.”
A third commented: “You honestly smashed it. Spoke from the heart. It was so emotional seeing the bond the two of you have.
“Really beautiful.”
While someone else wrote: “What an achievement! You spoke so well and it was a joy to see you both light up.”
Harry himself has yet to reflect on his final Wembley date on his Instagram page, with his last post coming on the 11th night of the run.
However, he did thank his One Direction bandmates - including the late Liam Payne - for helping him achieve the superstar status he has today.
He told stadium fans: “I wouldn’t be on this stage if it wasn’t for four friends of mine that were a massive part of this journey.
“I wanna thank Niall, Louis, Zayn and my dear friend Liam for these nights and everything that I learned in this time, the friendship, everything… None of this would be possible, I wouldn’t be here without you, thank you so much.”
